“The Black Men of Google: Harmony”
n a thriving community, there is harmony: a beautiful combination of unique chords and dynamic voices that create an unforgettable note. We believe that powerful things happen when Black voices come together.
This year, in celebration of Black History Month, we shared the stories of three Black Googlers who use their voices to create one harmonious sound. Shah, Wilson, and Augustine walk us through where they’re from, their fears, and how they want to be remembered.
They show us why lifting our voices can save both us and our communities. They courageously use curiosity, authenticity, and love to teach us that our unique experiences should never be oversimplified; rather, they should be celebrated for all their complexities. During this year’s Black Men of Google Summit, we celebrated the beauty of Black stories by spotlighting their experiences and so many others. All of them — those featured and those not — are courageously using curiosity, authenticity, and love to not only lift as they climb but to create a world we’re all proud to be a part of.
These stories remind us that our unique experiences should never be oversimplified; rather, they should be celebrated for all their complexities. Watch the film and discover why there is no voice like your own.
